The 1967 Pontiac Bonneville, 48-inch High Top Ambulance by Superior Coach, pictured below, was manufactured in Kosciusko, Mississippi. The ambulance was one of only 112 long wheel-based ambulances manufactured - approximately 56 of which included high headroom like this model. This unique ambulance is believed to be one of only a handful still in existence in the United States.

Frank and Rhenee Kapr purchased the ambulance on September 22, 1999. The rare ambulance had retired in 1997 from the Medicine Lake First Responders near Great Falls, Montana, with 32,000 original miles.
In 2001, Frank completed the restoration of the ambulance to its present condition in honor of the Frank Kapr Funeral Home's history of ambulance service. The funeral home, which operated two ambulances from 1954 to 1964, was one of many funeral homes noted as a primary source of ambulance service at the time.
