Yvonne Karen Price

Yvonne Karen Price, 205 Market Street, Jacksonville, North Carolina, formerly of Scottdale, passed away suddenly, Thursday May 26, 2022 in Grand Stand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Yvonne was born May 27,1953, the daughter of the late Reverend Arthur and Margaret “Peg” Price of Scottdale.

Yvonne attended Mt. Siani Holy Church, Jacksonville, where she was active in service until her death; Pastor Cynthia Gray Officiate.

Von was a 1972 Graduate of Southmoreland High School. After graduation she was employed with Anchor Hocking, Connellsville, Pa. Later relocating to San Diego, CA., she met her life-long partner, Robert H. Thompson. She was employed with Lockheed Martin, (building military jets), from July 1980 until her retirement, August 1999.

Von would transition once again to Jacksonville, NC. She became an entrepreneur and began Personal Care by Yvonne, (a full body massage business).

Von enjoyed traveling the world (Hawaii, Japan, Australia, Alaska) and loved relaxing at the beach.

Von was preceded in death by:

Four Brothers; Jon Raymond, Marvin Richard, Eugene, Joseph Ronald and her parents, Rev. Arthur and Margaret Price.

Von leaves to cherish her memory, her life-long Partner Robert Thompson and his family, her loving family:

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held in the Frank Kapr Family Garden 411 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683 on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 11AM – 12PM at which time her Memorial Service will begin with her Brother-In-Law, Rev. Kevin Bundridge, Pastor of Second Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, Officiating. A Dove release will immediately follow the Service.

Private Inurnment will take place in Greenridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
