Wilma Jean Lohr,97, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, in Dawson surrounded by her loving family. She graced this world with her presence on September 1, 1927, in Pricedale, the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Martha M. Bowers Harkins. Wilma was a longtime and faithful member of Bryan Church, Dawson. She carried out the lessons of her youth with pride as a graduate of Scottdale High School, Class of 1945. Her journey led her to the role of a homemaker, a calling she embraced with all her heart. Wilma's hands were rarely still, as she found great joy in sewing and creating clothing, a testament to her creativity and skill. In the lanes of life, Wilma found joy and camaraderie as an avid bowler at Yough Lanes, where she shared many a game with fellow seniors. Her competitive spirit and laughter were as much a part of her game as the pins she skillfully knocked down. Wilma's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of unwavering love for her family. She was the cherished matriarch to her devoted daughters, Judy A. Keffer of Dawson, and Linda L. Mellinger and her husband Terry, also of Dawson. Her grandchildren, Kathy Keffer, Kim Keffer and husband Vernon Henry, Jason Mellinger, and Jody Mellinger and her husband Artie Bliss, grew up basking in the glow of her affection and support. Wilma's great-grandchildren, Felicia Cossell, Sam Spence and his wife Morgan, and Aubrey Hill and husband Dan, as well as her Five great-great-grandchildren, Nova, Sawyer Neeld, Finn Cossell, River Spence, and Aiden Hill added even more joy to her life. Wilma's journey through life was not without loss. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lohr, Jr. (Jan.17, 2025), her dear grandson, Josh Buelher (2014), her loving sister Helen Mimidis, and her brothers George, Harry, Paul, and Robert Harkins, Her Son-in-law: Sam Keffer. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she carried their memories with her every day. Those who knew Wilma will remember her as the embodiment of a faith-filled life. Her gentle spirit and loving nature touched everyone she met. Wilma's kindness was a beacon that drew people to her, and her unwavering faith provided comfort and guidance to those around her. Her commitment to her family was unshakable, and she nurtured her relationships with patience, understanding, and an endless capacity for love. Wilma’s family will greet friends Thursday, May 1, 2025 in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683 from 10AM – 12PM at which time her Funeral Service will begin with Pastor Matt Davis, Pastor James Myers and Brian Martucci, Officiating.
