Veronica Lesniowski Obituary

 Veronica D. Lesniowski,89, a life-long resident of Everson, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at Harmon House in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania. Born on January 13, 1936, in Everson, the daughter of the late Roman and Katarzyna Chmielowicz Lesniowki. Veronica's life was marked by her loving spirit, unwavering faith, and dedication to her community. She was a beloved figure, known for her kindness and generosity, leaving a legacy of warmth and service that touched many lives. A proud graduate of Scottdale Joint High School, Class of 1953, Veronica's commitment to excellence was evident early on. She carried this dedication throughout her career, serving for over five decades as a supervisor and quality controller for the former Connellsville Sportswear. Her meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic made her a respected figure within the company and among her colleagues. Veronica's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a life member and active participant in the Partner Parish of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Everson. Her roles within the church were numerous and heartfelt. She served as a lector, bringing the scriptures to life for her fellow parishioners. Additionally, she was a key member of the St. Joseph Society and the Guild, taking on leadership roles as President and Vice President. Her devotion also extended to the church's community events, where she was often found cooking for the church bazaar. Veronica was a member of Uncle Charlie's Bowling League and appeared on Nick Perry’s Bowling for dollars TV show. She was a longtime member of the Everson Polish American Club as Treasurer. A longtime member and bingo caller for the Everson Senior Citizens Organization, which she truly enjoyed. Veronica's love for her family was evident in the way she cared for her late brother, Fr. Frank Lesniowski, as his housekeeper for 12 years. Veronica is survived by her loving Nieces and Nephews, whom she cherished as if they were her own. And her sister-in-law, Naomi Lesniowski of Scottdale. In addition to her parents, Veronica was preceded in death by: Brothers: Joseph Lesniowksi (1979), Walter Lesniowski (1981), Fr. Frank Lesniowski (2006) Sisters: Emily J. Soforic (1996), Rose Wolenter (2004), Frances Boscia (2006), Mary K. Sefcheck (2008) And in Infancy, John, Andrew and Cecelia Lesniowski Four Nieces, Marlene Brown (1974), Janet Metcalfe (2012) and Linda Lesniowski and Carol Sabo (2025) Nephew: Tom Soforic (2022) Those who knew Veronica will remember her for her loving nature, spirited personality, and faith-filled life. She was a beacon of light in the Everson community, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Veronica’s family will greet friends on Monday, October 13,2025 from 2 – 4PM and 6 -8PM in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683. Prayers of Transfer will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 10:30AM in the Funeral Home with her Funeral Mass to follow at 11AM in the Partner Parish of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Everson with Rev. Paul Lisik as Celebrant. Committal Services and Interment will follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Everson. The St. Joseph Rosary Society will recite the Rosary on Monday at 1:30PM in the Funeral Home.
