Timothy "Tim" Swope, 61, passed away peacefully at his cabin at Yough Lake, his pride and joy on September 1, 2025. Born on May 23, 1964, the son of the late Roy and Carolyn Keeler Swope. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Tim's generous spirit and handy skills left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Tim is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Berg-Swope of Scottdale, whom he married on June 6, 1987. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter. His legacy continues through his children: Blake Berg-Swope and his wife Bethany of Everson, and Megan Berg-Swope of Scottdale. His joy was multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren, Aleena, Aubree, Beau, and Abigail, who will miss their grandfather's boundless energy and the great outdoors adventures he shared with them. Tim is also mourned by his siblings: Dennis Swope and his wife Tina of Mill Run, Vickie Ritenour and her husband Keith of Normalville, and Loretta Nicholson and John of Mill Run. His sister-in-law Ruby Swope of Kanter, PA, and Crissy Grimm and her husband Robert of Kittanning also hold dear the memories of their beloved brother-in-law. Tim leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews whose lives he touched with his loving and generous nature. Tim was a proud graduate of Connellsville High School, Class of 1983. His strong work ethic was evident throughout his career. Initially employed by Kern Brother Lumber, Tim found his calling at Rich Hill Stone Quarry where he dedicated 26 years as a highlift operator. Most recently, he brought his wealth of knowledge and friendly demeanor to NAPA of Scottdale, where he was appreciated by colleagues and customers alike. An avid outdoorsman, Tim relished every moment spent in nature. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or boating, he found peace and joy in the beauty of the world around him. As a member of the Laurel Yacht Club, he shared his passion for the water and the camaraderie of fellow boating enthusiasts. Above all, Tim will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. His handy skills often came in service to those he loved, and his generosity knew no bounds. Tim's warm heart and open arms made everyone feel at home, and his presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM the hour of Tim’s Funeral Service with his Brother-in-law, Pastor Robert Grimm, Officiating.
