Thomas A. Ostrowski, 81of Everson PA, known affectionately to friends and family as Tom, passed away peacefully of natural causes Paramount Senior Living, on November 25, 2023, in McMurray, PA. while being comforted by his loving family. Born on October 19, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, PA, a Son of the late Joseph and Anna F. Martinosky Ostrosky. Tom lived a life defined by service to his family, his country, and his community. Tom was a graduate of Scottdale High School, Class of 1960. His hardworking and dedicated nature was reflected in his successful career. He was a respected Foreman for Anchor Hocking Glass in So. Connellsville, PA, where he served for over 30 years. For a brief time he was employed by Robertshaw Controls of Youngwood, PA as well as at Carry All Products for a number of years. His work ethic was admired by all who knew him. In addition to his dedication to his work, Tom was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the 45th Trans Co (GS) APO SF 96271 EUSA during the Vietnam War in Korea. He attained the rank of Specialist 4th Class, a testament to his courage and commitment. His involvement in his community was equally as extensive. He was an active member of the Polish American Club of Everson, the Scottdale American Legion Post #240, and the Everson and Bullskin Twp. Senior Centers. A passionate Pittsburgh Sports fan, Tom enjoyed cheering on his beloved teams. Tom's life was not solely defined by his work and service; he was a devoted family man. He is survived by his sons, Thomas E. Ostrowski and his wife Tracy of Venetia, PA, and Michael J. Ostrowski and his wife Danijela of Delmont, PA. He was a beloved brother to Joseph Ostrosky and his wife June of Scottdale, PA. He was also a cherished grandfather to Lyla, Dylan, and Maxim Ostrowski. His many nieces, nephews, and extended family members will remember him fondly. Tom was always present in his family's lives, taking an active interest in their hobbies and passions. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his Wife of 39 years, Joan L. Hrabak Ostrowski, November 10, 2009. As a devout Catholic, Tom was a long-standing and faithful member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Everson, PA. He served as a Eucharistic Minister, a former Parish Council member, and a Holy Name Society member. His faith was an integral part of his life, guiding his actions and his relationships with others. Tom will be remembered as a kind, faith-filled, and loving individual. He was a pillar in his community, a steadfast friend, and a loving family man. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to inspire those who admired his dedication to his work, his unwavering faith, and his unconditional love for his family. Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM. also Wednesday from 10 AM to 10:30 AM the hour of Prayers of Transfer followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph R. C. Church Everson with the Rev. Elmer Alforque, as Celebrant, with interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. The Everson – Scottdale Veterans Association, Honor Guard will do a Pass and Review Tuesday evening at 6:45 PM followed by full Military Honors to be accorded at the Funeral Home.
