Thelma “Jean” Tlumack, 88 of Mount Pleasant Township, passed away February 28, 2026 at RNC Rehabilitation Center, Greensburg.
She was born January 18, 1938 the youngest daughter of the late Edward and Olive Marks Baken.
She was married to her husband Mike for 61 years, who passed away in 2019. Jean was preceded in death by Sisters, June Kantorik, Violet Paul, Eleanor Polander. Her Brother, Zane Baken, her great great granddaughters Annen Springer and Scarlet Schemm.
Jean is survived by her Children: Greg and his wife Kim Tlumack, Michele and her husband Darrell Brougher. Our mother was proud to tell people about her growing family of six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren (with one on the way) and one great great grandson.
Our mom endured many health issues over the last few years, but she still enjoyed shopping, eating out, playing solitaire on her phone, building jigsaw puzzles, feeding the birds on her patio and of course, her favorite a good doughnut! She will be deeply missed by her family, who all loved her.
A gathering of friends will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 from 10AM – 12PM in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683. Her Memorial Service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Terry Murray officiating.
Entombment will follow in Middle Churches Presbyterian Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Twp.
In honoring Jean’s wishes, the family requests no flowers be sent. The family suggests instead of flowers that donations be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
