Stanley J. Born on April 10, 1925, in Everson, the son of the late Wojciech and Zofia Trojniar Kramarski. Fettie was a beacon of joy and community spirit throughout his life.
Fettie grew up in Everson, a town that benefited from his unwavering dedication and service. He was a proud member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, where his love for Polish songs resonated through the church halls as he sang in the choir for over 84 years. He along with his friend Ronald Misiewicz initiated a church prayer group 22 years ago, they engaged in the recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy; as he held a strong belief in the power of this prayer. His commitment to his faith and his community was further exemplified by his involvement in the annual church festival from its inception, bringing together friends and families for generations.
Professionally, Fettie was well-known as the co-owner and operator of "K" Brothers' Service Station in Everson, a business he managed in partnership with his brothers Mike and John. Their service station was more than a business; it was a local hub where relationships were built, and stories were shared. Fettie's hard work, along with his warm and welcoming nature, made "K" Brothers a staple of the Everson community. Fettie was also a retired employee of Robertshaw Controls, New Stanton.
He was a full member of the Pleasant Valley Country Club for 44 years, where he enjoyed playing golf. He was also a member of Everson VFW Post #595, Everson Polish American Club and the Catholic Knights of Columbus.
His presence at St. Joseph R.C. Church will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to be felt in every hymn sung and every gathering celebrated.
Fettie was a proud veteran of the United States Army during World War II. He enlisted June 14th, 1943 immediately after High School, with his Twin brother, John and they served together in the same Unit throughout their active duty service. He served with the 126th Anti- Aircraft Artillery Battalion, as a radar crewman.
He was engaged in the Battles of Rhineland, Ardenees, Central Europe Ground Combat. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars and the World War II Victory Medal ad attained the Rank of PFC.
Fettie's life was marked by the close bonds he shared with his family and friends. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews, including his loving Nieces, Geri Fagan, Karen Pytlak, and Joanne Vella. They will miss his guidance and the laughter he brought to their lives. Fettie was a source of strength and inspiration for his family, and his legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to live on through them.
In addition to his parents, Fettie was preceded in death by his four brothers, Joseph (April 24, 1980), Michael (July 30, 2003), Thaddeus “Ted” Kramarski (June 28, 2010), and his twin, John S.
