Sally Sandzimier Obituary

Sally Ann Sandzimier, 79 of South Greensburg passed away peacefully at the Elizabeth Seton Memory Care Center surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 30th. Sally was born September 5, 1942, the daughter of the late John and Katherine Sandzimier of Everson. Sally spent her days alongside her sisters Nellie and Theresa at Wise’s Restaurant in Scottdale. For 65 years, she nurtured the community with loving home cooked meals with a smile.  She cared deeply for the restaurant and each one of her workers and customers. Sally’s large and extended family meant the world to her. Her face lit up with love and happiness every time her family was in her presence. Sally was a member of St. Bruno Church for a number of years. Outside of work, Sally spent most of her limited free time with her house mate, confidant and “partner-in-crime”, Mary Joyce Harrold. Their friendship was one that many only wish for.

Sally is predeceased by brothers and sisters Nellie Wise (Robert), Virgina Zimmerman(Walter), Frank Sandzimier(Josephine & Anita), Theresa Shal(Ted), Bernard Sandzimier(Margie), Marion Sandzimier(Josephine), niece, Helen Shal, great nephew Michael Cavalier, Godson Brandon Wilson, and nephews Tomas Sandzimier and Danny Wise.

John Harrold and Sally’s best friend, Mary Joyce Harrold; Sally’s Godchildren, Diane Figg, Tina Dillon, Brian Forejt, Mary Ann Hensel, Joseph Sandzimier, Buddy Gaylord, Diane Marie Walko and Julia Rose Urban; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nephews and nieces!
