Ross Allen Havens, known affectionately to all as Ross, entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2024, at the age of 53. Born on January 25, 1970, in the welcoming town of Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, Ross lived a life marked by kindness, friendship, and adventure. His final days were spent in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, where he passed away peacefully due to natural causes.
Raised by his beloved grandparents, Oswell and Alice Huber Behanna, Ross regarded them as his parents, cherishing the love and values they instilled in him. The bond they shared was a testament to the family's deep roots and the strength of their connection. His Aunt Arlene Bossart, residing in Scottdale, along with numerous cousins and close friends, will dearly miss Ross's warm presence and enduring spirit.
Ross attended Wesley Chapel Church of Scottdale, where he found solace and companionship.
A true outdoorsman, Ross found his greatest joy in the natural world. Hunting, especially bear hunting, was not just a pastime but a passion that allowed him to embrace the beauty and challenges of the wilderness. Football season was another time of excitement for Ross, as he reveled in the camaraderie and competition of the game, always eager to cheer on his favorite teams.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Ross Havens will be held at his graveside at Cochran Cemetery. The service will provide a moment for friends and family to gather, share stories, and pay tribute to a life well-lived. The date and time of this service will be announced at a later date, ensuring that all who wish to pay their respects can do so.
