Ronnie “Fets” Fetsco, born in 1951, passed away on May 18, 2026, surrounded by the family who loved him. The son of Rose Canestrale Fetsco and Edward “Smoots” Fetsco, Ronnie grew up in Connellsville and carried his hometown pride throughout his life. As a young athlete, he was a member of the 1963 Connellsville Little League State Championship team, a memory he cherished for decades. Ronnie spent his career working for CSX Railroad, where he was known for his dedication, reliability, and the pride he took in his work. His steady presence and strong work ethic shaped both his career and his family life. He is survived by his wife, Connie McDowell Fetsco; his son Brian and daughter in law Stefanie; and his grandchildren, Emma Grace and Cash David, who brought him endless joy. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and his sons, Eric Fetsco (2009) and Michael Patrick Fetsco (2023). Ronnie was a passionate sports fan, cheering for North Carolina Tar Heels basketball and faithfully standing by Notre Dame football, no matter the outcome. His favorite words will echo in the hearts of those who knew him: “Play Like a Champion Today.” Ronnie’s services have been entrusted to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683.
