Robert L. Pletcher, known affectionately as Bob by his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Born on May 2, 1945, in Scottdale, Pa, the son of the late William and Marie Waywood Pletcher. Bob was a proud graduate of Southmoreland High School's Class of 1960. His passion for mechanics and craftsmanship led him to a fulfilling career where he dedicated 26 years of service to Dura Steel in Bridgeport. Bob also lent his expertise to Wicker Trucking in Scottdale and previously worked for Dexter Wood Products. In his personal life, Bob was a cherished member of the East Huntingdon Sportsman club. He found great pleasure in the tranquility of nature, whether he was hunting, fishing, or trapping. Bob's love for the outdoors was paralleled by his enjoyment of caring for his community, often seen cutting grass for neighbors. Bob's legacy is carried on by his loving children, Karen Watson of Acworth, Georgia, and Wayne Watson along with his wife Betty of Cumberland, Maryland. His very special Nephew, Rev. Richard Watson who was like a son to him and his wife Shannon and their daughter Olivia of Wade, NC. His light will continue to shine through his grandchildren, Saundra Conrad of Acworth, Georgia, Madaline Mongold of Carpendale, WV and Charles Mongold of Cumberland, MD. His Great Grandchildren: Casey Conrad and wife Marissa of Dallas Georgia, Kimberly Porter and her husband Dusty, of Acworth, Kevin Allan and wife Magen of Dallas Georgia, His Great Great Grandchildren Logan and Alexis Allan, Brayden and Cole Conrad. And several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Evelyn G. Pletcher, who passed away on May 9, 2006; his brother, William Pletcher; and his Sisters, Nancy Marie Watson and Edna Mae Bruno Family and Friends of Bob are cordially invited on Thursday, November 13, 2025 in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa, 15683 from 1PM – 3PM at which time his Funeral Service will take place with his Nephew, Rev. Richard Watson, officiating. Private Inurnment will take place in Alverton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Association P.O.
