Robert Kern Obituary
Robert Kern, 81 of Low St. Mt. Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly, Monday afternoon, November 30, 2020 at Grove Inn, Irwin.
He was born February 9, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Kenneth and Lillian Stout Kern.
Bob was a retired grounds-keeper for Ligonier Valley Country Club with 30 years of service.
He loved auto racing both as a spectator and a driver. In his spare time, Bob also enjoyed fishing, hunting and classic cars.
Bob is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him,
His loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Shirley M. VanDyke Kern of Mt. Pleasant.

Howard “Bud” Kern of Latrobe
William J. Kern of Mt. Pleasant
Terry L. Kern and wife Margie of Mt. Pleasant
His Six Grandchildren:
Melissa, Laura, Amber, Robert, Chelsea and Cody Kern
His Four Great Grandchildren:
Aiden, Lizzy, Bradley and Logan
His Two Siblings:
Donna Lee Zufall and husband James of Kecksburg
Clifford Kern and wife Sandy of North Carolina
Private visitation was for the immediate family only.
Bob’s cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale.
