Richard T. Gridler, Sr. 78 of Tombstone, Cochise County, Arizona, formerly of Scottdale, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, June 16, 2023 in the comfort of his home.
Rich was born, July 16. 1944, in Camp Atterbury, Indiana, a Son of the late Richard Henry Gridler and Jeanne Fleming Gridler.
Rich was a graduate of Scottdale High School, Class of 1962.
He was a retired Professional Driver for Pepsi Cola Co serving for 37 years.
Rich was a proud Veteran, serving during the Viet Nam War, with Headquarters Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 103rd Armor Division. He was a Graduate of Officers Candidate School and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and served as an Officer in the Motor Pool.
Rich loved his Wife, Sons, and his extended family and friends. He had a love for music and bag pipes, he could be found every year at the Scottish festival at Idlewild Park in Ligonier. He also enjoyed camping at Big Bear in West Virginia with his family, his camp was his home away from home. A few other hobbies that kept Rich busy were his Harley Davison, Classic Mopar Cars, going to car shows, and watching Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins games. He was a man of many talents and was loved by all that knew him.
Rich is survived by his two loving Son’s.

Family and Friends are cordially invited to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, 417 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Thursday June 22, 2023 from 3 PM to 7 PM. and Friday from 9:30 AM to 11 AM the hour of his Funeral Service in the Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Kline, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Calumet, next to his late wife Paulette, with full Military Honors accorded by the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post #446 Honor Guard.
