Rebecca L. Sprinkle

Rebecca L. "Becky" Sprinkle, 77, formerly of Scottdale, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Born on August 23, 1948, in Compton, California, the daughter of the late Phyllis R. Stoner. Becky was a cherished soul whose warmth and spirited nature touched everyone she met. A proud graduate of Southmoreland High School's Class of 1966, Becky carried the values of her education throughout her life. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Scottdale, where she found great comfort and community. While there, she was a MYF Youth Group Leader and she enjoyed volunteering at Connellsville Ministries. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her everyday actions and in the loving way she approached the world. For 36 years, Becky poured her heart into her work at Scottdale Mennonite Publishing House, where her attention to detail and creative spirit were truly appreciated. She also spent rewarding time at Laurelville Retreat Center, where she could merge her love of nature and her artistic talents. Becky’s creativity was also shown thru her employment at Dairy Queen. She was also very artistic in her personal life, finding joy and solace in her beautiful garden, the outdoors, crocheting and the companionship of her beloved dogs. Becky's greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren—Kennedy R. Schwabenbauer and her Fiancé Tadhg McNamera, Solar Sprinkle, and Julianna Schwabenbauer. She embraced every moment with them, instilling in them the same love and generosity that she carried within herself. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished above all, and the legacy of her kind spirit will live on through them. Her loving son, Joshua C. Sprinkle, and his wife Toni of Kutztown, PA, along with her daughter, Jessica R. Schwabenbauer, and her husband Nick of Corsica, PA, will hold onto the memory of Becky's unwavering support and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Christine Wible, and husband Gerry of Mechanicsburg, Pa. Her special Cousin who was like a brother to her, Jeff Kane of Greensburg. In addition to her Mother, she was preceded in death by: Her Husband, Jerry L. Sprinkle ( May 23, 2004) Becky’s family will greet friends Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 2-4PM & 6PM – 7:30PM at which time the service will begin with Pastor Janet Lord, officiating.
