Paul R. Schuster, 86 of Alverton, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 30, 2021 at Amber House, Mt. Pleasant, surrounded in love with his Children.
He was born May 13, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late William G. and Gertrude Knipple Schuster, who passed away 1975 and December 11, 1991 respectively.
Paul was a longtime and faithful member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale where he served as a member of St. John’s Usher Society for 57 years.
He was a Graduate of Scottdale High School Class of 1953. He was employed by the former Modulas Corp with 20 years of service as a machine operator. Paul was also employed by the Southmoreland School District, at the Junior High, as a Custodian and retired in 1997, after 12 years of service.
He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Berlin, Germany from December 7, 1956 until November 25, 1958 as an E-4. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and the German Occupational Medal.
Paul was a member of the Hecla Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed working in his Gardens, sharing his harvest with his many friends..
Paul was an honorable and kind man who loved his family and was loved in return.

Paul’s family cordially invite family and friends to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Tuesday from 4PM – 8PM.
His Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in The Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, with his Pastor, Rev. Elmer Alforque, as Celebrant.
Committal Services and Interment will follow in St. John Parish Cemetery.
The Scottdale Everson Honor Guard will conduct military Honors at the Funeral Home, Tuesday at 7:30PM.
