Orrin M. Eichar, Jr.

Orrin Marion Eichar, Jr.,85, was born April 19, 1940, the son of the late Orrin Sr. and Edith Cunnard Eichar. He Died July 10th, 2025 at the home he built at Mt Nebo, Scottdale Pa with his wife of 65 years Lynda Silsley Eichar at his side. Orrin is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Nora Gail in 1969 and a son Orrin III in 2004. He leaves to cherish his memories to his sons Daniel Paul of Clemmons, NC and Lyndon Roy of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Also, his daughter Laura Ruth and her husband Bryan Fender and grandsons Wyatt Orrin and Colby Orrin of Smithton. Sister Evelyn and her husband Larry Stahl and Bonnie Kelly, both of Smithton and many cousins. Orrin was a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church, Ruffsdale for 50 years. Orrin was a Graduate of South Huntingdon High School Class of 1959. He was a member of the Hempfield Hunt Club. Orrin liked camping, hunting, fishing and working with wood. He built counter tops for Valley Kitchen for 15 years and automobiles for Volkswagen for 10 years and other jobs at companies including County Market and Walmart where he retired in November 2023. Orrin will be sadly missed by many, many friends and all who knew him. A Gathering of friends will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683 from 10AM until Noon at which time his Memorial Service will be held with his Pastor, David Wilson, Officiating.
