 Nick J. Capo, Sr. 89, of Connellsville passed away Thursday Afternoon, July 20, 2023 in the comfort of his home, while being embraced in love by his family. He was born Sept. 5, 1933 in Connellsville, the son of the late Angelo and Josephine Delsordo Capo. Nick was Catholic by Faith. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School Class of 1951. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from January 25, 1952 until January 24, 1956 during the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal and attained the rank of A/1C. He graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He was employed by the Connellsville Area School District for 35 years as a Teacher and Guidance Counselor from 1961 – 1996. In his spare time, he was very involved with the Connellsville Little League, where he coached and proudly won many Championship games. He played adult baseball and softball as well as belonging to numerous Bowling leagues. He was quite proud of his bowling record, with numerous games of a perfect 300. He was also a member of the Connellsville Slovak Club. Those left to honor his life include: His loving and devoted Children: Cynthia Lewandowski and husband Terence of Connellsville Nick J. Capo, Jr. of Connellsville Geoffrey Capo and wife Alana of Latrobe And their Mother, Loretta M. Capo of Connellsville His Grandchildren: Jeffrey G. Meixell, Jr. and Fiancé Brittney of Connellsville Sean M. Lewandowski of Latrobe Anthony J. Capo and Meagan of Scottdale Adam M. Capo and Chrissey of Latrobe Ashley Johnston and husband Kurt of West Virginia Alex R. Capo of Latrobe His Ten Great Grandchildren: Claire, Liam, Reese, Logan, Grace, Hope, Owen, Mylee, Colton and Klover. His Brother: Angelo Capo and wife Linda of Manassas, VA. In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by: Two Brothers: Jerry and Frank Capo And a Sister: Rose Tressler With careful thought and consideration in accordance to his wishes, there will be no Visitation or Services.
