Neva Denise Ritz

Neva Denise Ritz, 58 of Laurel Lane, East Huntingdon Twp. passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.

She was born July 24, 1964 the daughter of Cheryl Ramsey Grover of Scottdale.

Neva was a graduate of Southmoreland High School Class of 1982 and attended Barry University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business. Recently, she was employed as a Tax Preparer for H & R Block and previously she was employed by Standard Bank as the Assistant Vice President and Compliance Officer.

She played in the Bell Choir for Calvin Presbyterian Church of Scottdale for a total of 30 years. Neva loved to read and was a member of the Hipster Book Club of Scottdale, where she has proudly accomplished reading 130 books.

Neva loved all animals, especially her dogs. She was a proud Dog-Mom and spent a lot of time volunteering at the Heals Animal Rescue, formerly Animals Friends of Youngwood.

In her spare time, Neva enjoyed traveling with her husband, sister and close friends and going for walks on the beach.

Neva is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her,

Her Grandparents: James and Marie Ramsey

Brother-in-law: Jerald Ritz (1983)

And a Brother-in-Law: Joe H. Cummins (2016)

 In honoring Neva’s wishes, there will be no Visitation. A Family Memorial Service will be held at a later time.

Neva’s cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc.

The family suggests that Memorials be made to Heals Animal Rescue (formerly known as Animal Friends of Westmoreland) 216 Depot St. Youngwood, Pa. 15697 in memory of Neva.
