Michael R. Mehallick

Michael R. Mehallick, 84, a longtime resident of Everson, passed away Saturday afternoon March 4, 2023, in the comfort of his home in the presence of his loving wife and caregiver, Patricia A. Stanek Mehallick.

He was born in Scottdale, February 7, 1939 a Son of the late Michael and Mary Koval Mehallick.

Michael was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church Everson and St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, Scottdale, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society.

Michael was a Graduate of Scottdale High School, Class of 1957 and a Graduate of St. Vincent College Class of 1962 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree.  He then attended Westminster College and Graduated with a Masters Degree in Education in 1965.  Michael was a Football, Basketball and Track Coach with Mt. Lebanon School District for a number of years and also was employed by the George Washington Law School, Washington, DC.

Michael is survived by his Loving Wife, of 59 years, Patricia A. Stanek Mehallick whom he married June 15, 1963.

Also surviving are a number of loving Nieces and Nephews.

Family and Friends are cordially invited to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Friday from 1 PM to 5 PM.  Prayers of Transfer will be offered Saturday at 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home, followed by his 11 AM Funeral Mass in St, Joseph R.C. Church, Everson, with his nephew, the Rev Michael Sikon as Celebrant and Rev. Elmer Alforque as Con Celebrant.

Interment will follow in S. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Everson.
