Michael Jackson Obituary

Michael G. Jackson, 66 of Cowling Rd, Scottdale, passed away peacefully, Wednesday evening, April 19, 2023 at his home while being comforted by his family.

He was born April 5,1957 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of the late Henry O’Dell and Ethel Michel Jackson.

Mike was a longtime and faithful member of the Alverton United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the of the Church Council.

He was a graduate of Penn Hills High School Class of 1975 and he then enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1975 -1979 where he served on the Destroyer, USS DYESS, out of Brooklyn, N.Y. and attained the rank of BT3.

Prior to his retirement, Michael was employed by Schneider’s Dairy of White Hall as a Milk Delivery Man for over 25 years.

Mike was very involved in Scouting since he was a young man and received his 50-year pin, which he earned as a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop #160 of Everson. He was also a member of the Order of the Arrow.

He also enjoyed being a member of the Scottdale Church Dart ball League and was a proud Pittsburgh Sports Fan.

Mike is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him,

His Loving and Devoted Wife, of 45 years, Andrea P. Sentinek Jackson, whom he married, September 24, 1979.

Family and Friends of Michael are cordially invited to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc., 417 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. where his Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 10AM in the Funeral Home, with his Pastor, Tom Shirer, officiating.

Committal Services and Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in The Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa.
