The Family of Mary Ella Minnick Beistel, of Alverton, sadly announces her peaceful passing, Saturday morning, May 14, 2022, at the age of 94 years.
Mary was born January 31, 1928 in Mt. Union, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Straley Minnick.
She was a long time and faithful member of the Center Bethel Church of God, Alverton.
Prior to her retirement in 1989, Mary was the manager of the former Fort Pitt Shoe Store. Scottdale, with 45 years of service. Mary was a member of the former Scottdale Merchants Association, Scottdale Community Civic and Industrial Association (SCCIA), and the Business and Professional Women’s Association.
She was a current member of the Eastern Star #383 and Order of Amaranth Court #46. Mary was one of the original Investors in the restored Geyer Performing Arts Center, Scottdale.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving Husband, Donald P. Beistel, May 5, 2005.
Also an infant Sister and three Brothers.

Cindy Cognasse and husband Sam of Dundee, Michigan
Mary Louise Aufdenkampe and husband Gary of Vermillion, Ohio.

Nephew, George Minnick of Mechanicsburg, PA.
Mary’s family cordially invite guests to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc., 417 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, PA 15683, Wednesday from Noon to 12:30 PM the hour of her Funeral Service with Pastor Lee Kline, of the Center Bethel Church of God, Alverton, Officiating.
Interment will follow in Alverton Cemetery, next to her Husband Donald.
