Marie Cox Obituary

Marie Elizabeth Cox, 83 of Hunker, passed away at home, Sunday evening, May 10, 2020 surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer where she had fought the good fight and was released from her struggle on earth and entered into the glory with Christ.

She was born March 22, 1937 in Hibbs, Pa the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Pahula Shetler.

She was a retired Factory Employee for Nicsand, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio for a number of years. She was also employed as a waitress alongside the love of her life, Max, who managed the restaurant, for a number of years.

Marie was known for her love of Polkas, but most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marie is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Her Siblings: John, Anne, Jim, Bob and Vicky

The family would like to extend their deep appreciation and thanks to Grane Hospice for all their love and compassion over the past year. Special Thanks to her nurses, Sharon Hixson, Dawn Schaer, Bridgett Savage and Neal Leskovic.

Due to the strict guidelines, we must adhere to at this crucial time, a Private family visitation, and Funeral Service will be held in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, with Pastor, Lee Kline, Officiating.
