Larry R. Clelland, 76, passed away on March 3, 2025, at his residence in Scottdale, Pennsylvania. Born on January 5, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, Larry's life journey was marked by love, dedication, and a warm spirit that made him a friend to all he encountered. A proud graduate of the Southmoreland Class of 1967, Larry was well-known for his diligent work ethic. He began his career at the former Modulas Corp, where he served as a laborer for 11 years. His professional journey continued as he embraced the role of district sales manager for the Daily Courier for 12 years. Larry's final role before retiring was as a delivery driver for NAPA Auto Parts in Scottdale, where he spent 5 years serving the community with a smile. Larry's life was lived with a passion for the simple pleasures. He was a member of the Scottdale Firemen's Club, where he shared stories and laughter with friends. His love for sports was evident as he spent many an afternoons and evenings at Louck's Park, watching a good softball game. Larry also enjoyed his leisurely strolls through the town, often pausing at Barry's Market to catch up with neighbors and friends. These simple moments were the threads that wove the rich tapestry of Larry's life, one filled with connection and community. Above all, Larry was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle. His children, Janean Ansell and her husband Brian of Knoxville, TN, Larry R. Clelland, Jr. and his wife Amber of Mt. Pleasant, and Cory S. Clelland of Scottdale, were the pride of his life. Larry's legacy will continue to shine brightly through his grandchildren, Ronnie, Nicholas, Tyler, Crosby Ansell, Tristan Clelland, and Everly Clelland, who will carry forward the values of love and kindness that he instilled in them. Larry also held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephew, Renee Shallenberger, Melissa Kalinen, and William Falla. Not to be forgotten is Larry's special canine companion, Harlie, who was always by his side. Harlie's loyal companionship provided Larry with joy and comfort, encapsulating the bond between a man and his dog.
