Katherine Siesky Obituary

 

 

Katherine M. DeLuca Siesky, 96 of Connellsville, passed away peacefully, early Sunday Morning, December 13, 2020 at Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.

She was born December 1, 1924 in Scottdale the daughter of the late Thomas and Concetta Ionne DeLuca.

Katherine was a great reader, she truly enjoyed Historical Novels and Biographies. She was also known for her love of dogs and kittens. Katherine proudly raised her two brothers, following the closely related deaths of her parents, Guy D. DeLuca and Thomas C. DeLuca, from the young age of 17.

Katherine loved her neighborhood and was fond of the neighbors who looked after her. She was affectionally known as Miss Kate at the Amber House.

Katherine was a head strong woman with a sharp mind, who stayed true to her belief.

Katherine is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her,

Her Loving and devoted 10 Nieces and 10 Nephews,

And Three Special Nieces and Nephews:

Debbie and Phillip Stevens of Connellsville

Thomas and Ruthie DeLuca of Scottdale

Guy and Debbie DeLuca of Scottdale.

In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by,

Her Husband: Peter B. Siesky (Jun. 23, 2007) following 50 years of marriage.

Her Brothers, Guy D. DeLuca (Sept. 23, 1996) and Thomas C. DeLuca (Jul. 27, 2015)

Her Sister-in-Law: Donna DeLuca (Feb. 1, 2018)

A family visitation will be held Wednesday, from 9 AM to 11 AM in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683, followed by her Funeral Liturgy at 11 AM, with Rev. Elmer Alforque, of the partner parish of St. John The Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale as Facilitator.

Entombment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.

Due to the CDC guidelines, only 10 people are permitted to be present in the Funeral Home at one given time, A Mask is required to enter the Funeral Home and please use Social Distancing at all times.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in memory of Katherine, to the Shriners Hospital for Children at www.ShrinersHospitalforChildren.org
