Kala S. Mologne,71, of Smithton, Pa. passed away on July 10, 2025 at Jefferson Hospital after a seven-year illness. She was born in Mt. Pleasant on March 30, 1954, the daughter of the late Edward and Faye LaRue Hellein Aldom. Her extensive knowledge of medicine as a Registered Nurse and working along-side of transplant doctors allowed her to implement new protocols to battle her illness and extend her life.
She was an avid breeder of Bull Mastiff dogs and won at the Westminster Dog Show. Kala aspired to become a veterinarian and continued her research and interest in veterinarian medicine and pet care until her death.
Kala was the Chair of the Westmoreland County Republican Committee District 4 for several terms. She was the founder of 1776 Freedom’s Calling Committee and organized several political events including hosting an evening with author and film maker Dinesh D’Souza at the Sheraton in Greensburg Pennsylvania.
Proceeded in death by her parents, grandparents, and many dogs that she loved more than life. Kala is survived by her sister Judi Krinock of Grantsville Maryland.
