John R. “Jack” Begonia 92, of Ruffsdale, Pa., passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 31, 2021, In Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Peasant, Pa.
He was born in Ruffsdale, August 19, 1928 a Son of the late Lewis and Ella Clark Begonia.
Jack was a member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R. C. Church, Scottdale.
He was a retired Sander and Grinder for Durloy Blaw-Knox Corp., Scottdale, from 1958 to 1992 and previously was a Coal Miner for the former Delmont Fuel.
Jack was Honorably Discharged from the United States Marine Corps January 16, 1954, following his induction, January 17, 1952 and attained the rank of P.F.C.
Jack was an accomplished Boxer and once Boxed Laverne Roche. He was an avid Soft Ball player and enjoyed playing on his Harmonica.
Jack’s life will forever be cherished in the lives of his Children and Grandchildren.

Jack was the last survivor of his ten siblings.
A private visitation for Family only will be held in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, where Full Military Honors will be accorded at the Funeral Home by the Everson Scottdale Honor Guard.
Private interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery
A special Thanks to the Amber House, Suncrest Hospice, Excela Hospice and his family friend Charlotte, who took care of Jack for the last few months.
