Jane L. “Janie” Willard, 63 of New Stanton, formerly of Scottdale, passed away unexpectedly, Friday afternoon, May 28, 2021 at UPMC East, Monroeville.
She was born October 29, 1957 in Connellsville, the daughter of the late John R. “Jack” and Barbara Marie Swartz Willard, who passed away June 16, 2001 and March 8, 2004, respectively.
Janie was protestant by faith.
She was a graduate of Southmoreland High School Class of 1975 and then continued her education and graduated from California University where she received her degree in Teaching.
Janie was employed for a number of years by Adelophi Village in multiple locations and presently she was employed by Headstart of Fayette County.
Janie thoroughly enjoyed visiting many wineries in the area with her group of close and dear friends, who they named their group as “ The Ladies Wine Club”. Janie was a friend to all who knew her.
She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister to her family and a friend to all who knew her. She loved her Grandchildren and spending as much time as she could with them.
Janie is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her,

Family and Friends are cordially invited to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale Tuesday from 4PM – 8PM.
Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 10AM in the Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Kline, of Center Bethel Church of God, Alverton.
Inurnment will take place in Greenridge Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
