Jamie L. (Barr) Walsh

Jamie L. Barr Walsh, 72 of Scottdale, passed away peacefully at Eichers Personal Care Home on January 10, 2026. Born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, on April 26, 1953, of the late James H. and Jean McCauley Barr, November 17, 1987 and April 3, 2019 respectively. Jamie was a beacon of loving kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her. Jamie was a proud alumnus of Southmoreland High School's class of 1971. She furthered her education at the Meridan School of Pittsburgh, where she graduated in 1973. Her career was marked by her compassionate service as a Ward Clerk at Frick Hospital emergency room. She also worked for Dr. Slezak for several years. Alongside her late husband, Jamie channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into Chelsea's Terrace of Scottdale, where they worked as dedicated Owner-Operators. Family was the cornerstone of Jamie's life. She leaves behind her beloved son, Oliver "O.J." Walsh, and his wife, April, of Scottdale, who will cherish her memory alongside Jamie's precious grandsons, Rory James and Declan John Walsh. Jamie's spirit will be forever held in the hearts of her brother, Mark Barr, and his wife, Karen, of Scottdale. Her family circle includes her sister-in-law, Patricia Walsh, and her husband, Tom, of London, her brother-in-law, John Walsh of London, and John Coen of London. Jamie’s love extended to her fur babies, Murphy and Sherlock Bones, who were her loyal companions and brought her immense joy.
