Grace Leasher Fox, 93 formerly of Alverton, passed away peacefully, early Tuesday morning, June 6, 2023 at Easy Living Estates, Hunker. She was born December 13, 1929 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of the late John K. and Viola E. Shaner Myers. Grace was a longtime and faithful member of Center Bethel Church of God, Alverton. Grace was very active within her church and was the oldest surviving member of the church congregation. She held various positions such as a Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess as well as a Prayer Warrior in her later years. She was a Graduate of East Huntingdon High School Class of 1947. Grace was employed by Dr. Thomas Gretz Dental Office, for 30 years, as a Dental Assistant. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and reading in her spare time. Grace is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, Her loving and devoted Children: Deborah L. Schneider and husband Jacob of Maryland Becky L. Dugger and husband Fred of Scottdale Her Step Daughter: Heidi Fox of Tarrs Her Grandchildren: Heather Sargeant, Alissa Nelson, Gretchen Ipok, Martin Schneider, Alexander Dugger and Aaron Dugger And her 15 Great Grandchildren Her Sister: Betty Ann Sullenberger and husband Wayne of Ruffsdale In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by: Her First Husband: Ralph Leasher, Jr. Her Second Husband: George Fox Her Son: Randy S. Leasher Her Step Daughter: Beth Fox Her Siblings: Jimmy Myers, Charles Myers, Eugene Myers, Margaret Huff. Grace’s family and friends are cordially invited to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683, Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 2 – 4PM & 6 – 8PM. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11AM, with her Pastor, Rev. Lee Kline, Officiating. Everyone is asked to go directly to church. Committal Services and Interment will follow in Alverton Cemetery.
