George Ritchey

George Ritchey, 80, of Ruffsdale, passed away unexpectedly, January 9, 2020, at his residence, of injuries sustained in a fall.

George was born in Johnstown, Pa., February, 1, 1939, a Son of the late Reuben and Elizabeth (Helsel) Ritchey.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his Brothers: Donald L. Walter and Regis Ritchey, a Sister Charlene Janner.

George was a faithful member of the Alverton Center Bethel Church of God.  He was a Graduate of Juniata College where he received his degree as a Chemist.  George was a retired calibrator of Pepsi machines while being employed by Pepsi Cola Corp. of Youngwood, for a number of years.

George’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 14 years, Myrna Montalvo-Ritchey, whom he married July 16, 2005.

Joseph Bosh and Amber of Fair Oaks, Pa

And his loving pet Feline “Gabby”

Also surviving are his 15 Grand and Great Grandchildren

And a number of Nieces and Nephews.

George’s family cordially invites family and friends to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Monday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM.

Additional visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 AM to 10:45 AM in the Center Bethel Church of God, P.O. Box 114 Alverton, PA 15612, with his Pastor, Lee Kline, Officiating.  Private interment will follow.  Those attending the Funeral Service, please go directly to the Church.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that Memorial Contributions to be directed to Center Bethel Church of God, Youth Organization, P.O. Box 114, Alverton, PA 15612.
