George A. Grippo, Sr. 84 of Scottdale, died Friday afternoon, April 28, 2023 at RNC Greensburg Nursing Center and Rehabilitation, while being comforted by his family.
He was born July 4, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Patsy and Elizabeth Reboy Grippo.
George was a member of the Partner Parish of St. Joseph R.C. Church of Everson.
George attended East Huntingdon High School. He was a retired Toll Collector for the Pennsylvania Turnpike with 13 years of service. Previously, he was employed by Modulas Corp in Mt. Pleasant with 20 years of service.
George was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army with the 32nd Transportation Co USARSEVEN while attaining the rank of PFC. He was a member of the Scottdale V.F.W. Post #7781, BPOE Lodge # 777, Scottdale Fire Dept Social Club and the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post.
George is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him,

Family and Friends are cordially invited to St. Joseph R.C. Church, Everson, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 10:30 AM to 11 AM the hour of his Memorial Mass at 11 AM. With the Rev Elmer Alforque, as Celebrant.

Inurnment will immediately follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Everson, with full Military Honors Accorded at the Gravesite by the Scottdale-Everson Vetera Honor Guard.
Cremation arrangements for Mr. George A. Grippo have been entrusted to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. Scottdale.
