Freda Lubovinsky Obituary

Freda L. Beers Lubovinsky, of Scottdale, a cherished beacon of love and strength, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on January 24, 1948, in Greensburg, the daughter to the late Charles and Louise Skero Elliot Beers.

Freda was the beloved wife of William P. Lubovinsky, with whom she shared nearly 33 years of marriage since their union on August 31, 1992. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring memories. Freda's legacy of love continues through her devoted daughter, Michelle Marquis of Scottdale and her stepdaughter, Marcie Jo Keefer, and her husband Larry of Mt. Pleasant. She was a proud grandmother to Courtney Cominsky Abraham, whom she raised with her husband William, and her husband Zackary of Fairchance, Michael and Matthew Marquis of Mt. Pleasant, Avery and Addison Keefer of Connellsville, Dustin Elliott of Smithton, Madelyn Pisula of Mt. Pleasant, Maddie Patula, and Patula and Avayah Snyder. Freda was a great friend to all, she was especially close to her dear friend of over 25 years, Karen Barnhart of Scottdale.

Freda was preceded in death by her sons, Ronald Marquis on September 16, 2013, and Michael Marquis on December 26, 2016, her daughter Jeanine Marquis Cominsky on January 28, 2023, and her son-in-law Thomas Cominsky on December 18, 2022 and her Grandson, Shawn Keefer on April 20, 2019. Yet, even in the face of loss, Freda's resilience and love provided a foundation of strength for her family to stand upon.

Freda was a member of The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant and attended the former Hurst High School. Her professional journey included valued positions at Latrobe Plastic and Stopfill.

Above all, Freda's greatest passion was her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandma, and friend whose love knew no bounds. Her presence was a comforting embrace to those around her.

Though she has left this world, Freda's spirit remains a guiding light in the lives of those she touched. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by her loved ones and the countless lives she impacted with her kindness. Her journey on this earth has concluded, but the story of her love will be recounted for generations to come.
