Ellen G. Smiley, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 78. Born on October 29, 1945, in Morgantown, West Virginia, Ellen's life was characterized by her selfless nature and her unwavering commitment to her family and friends. Ellen, known affectionately as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, is survived by family that cherished every moment spent with her. Her children, Robin Mills of Connellsville, Chad Mills of Everson, and Dawn Beck and husband Vern of Apollo, remember her as the guiding star of their lives, instilling in them the values of kindness and compassion. Ellen's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Amber Causer and her husband Richard, Daniyell Graft and her husband Buddy, Nathan Mills, Christopher Stants and his wife Michelle, Joshua Mills, Mark Stants, and Logan Bennett. Her great-grandchildren, Cloie, Benjamin, Skylar, Harry, Lana, and Eli, will grow up hearing stories of her warmth and the care she extended to all. Her siblings, Joseph Strickler, Wayne Strickler, and Debbie McLaughlin, recall Ellen's boundless love and the joy she brought to family gatherings. Ellen's presence was a source of comfort and happiness to her brothers and sister, and her memory will remain a treasure in their hearts. Ellen G. Smiley will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love and selflessness will continue to shine brightly, a lasting tribute to a life well-lived.
