Earl James AhFong Chun, 48, of Scottdale, passed away January 26,2022, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, surrounded by those who loved him.
He was born December 23, 1973 in Kapiolani Hawaii, the son of Sharon June Hendricks Chun of Nemacolin, Pa and the late Earl AhFong Chun.
Earl attended Grace Fellowship Church, Everson.
Earl was a graduate of Carmichaels High School class of 1992. He attended Waynesburg University from 1994 – 1995, then enrolled at California University of Pa. He was a successful athlete throughout his High School and College years, where he played football and was on the Wrestling Teams for Carmichaels High School.
Earl enjoyed being at home teaching his sons in their younger years. He enjoyed snorkeling, Drawing, and Painting. One of his exclusive drawings was accepted in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. He also was an avid Comic Book collector.
Earl was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Son-in-Law, Brother-in-Law to his family and a friend to many.
Earl May be gone from our lives but will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. In addition to his Mother, Sharon June Hendricks Chun of Nemacolin, Pa. he is survived by:
His Loving Wife of 21 years, Nicole “Nikki” Shoemaker Chun whom he married July 15,2000.

In addition to his Father Earl is predeceased by his Father-in-law Timothy Shoemaker, January 17, 2022.
Earl was an honorable and kind man who loved his family and friends and was love in return.
A Memorial Service for Earl, is being planned by his family to be held in the near future.
Cremation arrangements for Earl have been entrusted to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc., 417 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale.
