Dorothy J. Bugosh Opalinski, 93 of Scottdale, passed away early Saturday morning, February 18, 2023 at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born In Alverton Pennsylvania on September 23rd, 1929, the daughter of the late Paul and Catherine Potoka Bugosh.
After receiving Home Economics awards, and prior to having children, Dorothy was employed by the Anchor Hocking Glass Company, Connellsville and Volkswagen Of America, New Stanton. And through her interest and love for the outdoors, she went on to receive a degree in horticulture from the Westmoreland County Community College. Dorothy spent the last three years in residence at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg, where she was known to always be smiling, joyful, and cooperative.
Dorothy is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her

Dorothy’s family will be forever grateful to the Staff of Redstone Highlands for their exemplary care and compassion shown to Dorothy and her Family.

Family and friends of Dorothy are cordially welcome to pay their respects at the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683 on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 2-4pm, and 6-8pm.
Prayers of transfer will be held Thursday at 10:30AM in the Funeral Home with her Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 11AM in The Partner Parish of St. John R.C. Church, Scottdale, with the Rev Elmer Alforque as Celebrant.
Committal Services and Interment will follow in St. John Parish Cemetery, Scottdale.
