Donald R. Johnson

Donald R. Johnson, 89, of Scottdale, passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, May 17, 2025 at Hillside Estates, Connellsville. He was born January 8, 1936, the son of the late Charles G. and Laura Lough Johnson. He was a member of the St. John the Byzantine Catholic Church of Scottdale. Don was a graduate of McKeesport High School Class of 1953. He was a former Senior Bank Officer of Equibank of Pittsburgh with 20 years of service. He was also employed by the First National Bank of Herminie with 10 years of service and then retired as Bank Manager at Scottdale Bank and Trust in 2011. He was a member and past President of Scottdale Rotary Club, as well as various rotary clubs in Allegheny County. Don is gone from our lives; but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His Children: David Richard Johnson and his wife Paula of Ocala, Fla. His estranged son, Donald Reese Johnson and wife Jill Kroll Johnson of Herminie Laurie Ann Johnson of Scottdale. His Grandson: Jake Van Arsdale of Scottdale His Step Grandchildren: Jamie Cronin and Michael McDevitt both of Blackwood, N.J.
