David E. ("Gene") Brilhart

David E. “Gene” Brilhart, 86 of Ruffsdale, went home to be with the Lord, late Saturday afternoon, February 12, 2022 in Mountain View Senior Living Home, Greensburg.

Gene was born January 11, 1936 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of late David S. and Mabel Nagy Brilhart.

Gene was an active member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a Trustee of the Church Council and enjoyed being a member of the Men’s group who held Spaghetti Dinners to raise funds for the youth to go to Summer Camp. His Church and Church Family were an important part of his life.

Gene was the Owner and Operator of Gene Brilhart Heating and Air Conditioning, Sales and Service for many years in the local area.

Gene was a loving Husband, Father and Brother to his family and a friend to many. Gene was also an honorable and kind man who was loved in return.

Gene is gone from our lives but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him,

His loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Barbara Huss Brilhart, whom he married April 6, 1968.

His cherished Daughter, Pamela Gene Brilhart, whom he absolutely adored.

His dear Brother:

His loving Sister, Barbara Brilhart of Hudson, Florida

Family and Friends are cordially invited to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683, Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Additional viewing will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 10AM – 11AM in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, with his Funeral Service to begin at 11AM with Pastor Tom Shirer, Officiating.

Committal Services and Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Gene’s Family is grateful for the exemplary care and professionalism given by the Staff of Mountain View Senior Living Home and Redstone Hospice and the love that was shown to both Gene and his family.
