Charles Warren Obituary

Charles A. Warren, of Dawson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away Tuesday,  April 8, 2025, at the age of 69, in Independent Health System, Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA. Born on January 12, 1956, in New Castle, PA, to the late Richard Warren, Sr and Marjorie Gray Warren. Charles lived a life marked by devotion to his family, a passion for the outdoors, and a legacy of warmth and kindness that touched everyone he knew.

Charles was a proud graduate of New Castle High School. His love for hunting and fishing was only surpassed by his green thumb, as he loved to garden, nurturing plants with the same care and dedication he gave to his family. Charles's life was one of active engagement with the things he loved, and his presence was a source of strength and joy for his family. He was the kind of man who would rise with the sun to cast a line into the river or spend hours in his garden, cultivating not just plants, but a sense of wonder and appreciation for nature in his children and grandchildren.

Charles shared a beautiful and loving marriage with his wife, Flo Strzalkowski Warren, since October 21, 2006. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. He was a dedicated father to his daughters, Lyndsey Warren, Dayna Show and her husband Dillon, and Carrie Bosley and her husband A.J.; his sons, Charles Jr. and his wife Nichole, and John Szczygiel and his wife Rebecca Graban; and a playful and caring friend to his faithful dog, Skipper.

Charles's life was enriched by the joy and energy of his numerous grandchildren: Jacob, Addyson, Lacey, Jordan, Laynee, Kamryn, Giuliana, Sofia, A.J., Austin, Aeydan, Alleck, Averey, and Teigan. He loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world and took great pride in their accomplishments and adventures.

He is survived by his brother, Terry Gray and his wife Sherrie.

Charles was predeceased by his brother, Richard Warren.

The warmth of Charles's spirit and the depth of his love for his family will be deeply missed and forever cherished. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the simple pleasures of life shared with those he held dear. Charles's life was a testament to the beauty of family bonds, the joy of the great outdoors, and the enduring power of a kind and generous heart.

A Memorial Service for Charles will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 308 McClellandtown Rd, Uniontown, PA 15401.

Charles cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683.

His family will carry on the traditions that Charles loved, ensuring that his spirit will continue to be felt in the laughter of his grandchildren, the serenity of a quiet fishing spot, and the beauty of a well-tended garden. Charles's life was a beautiful journey that has now come to an end, leaving behind a trail of memories that will be treasured forever.
