Charles Richard “Buddy” Fox, 82 of Valey High Lane, Ruffsdale, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday afternoon, May 30, 2021 at his residence.

He was born March 20, 1939 in Connellsville, Pa. the son of the late Charles “Bud” and Audra Edgell Fox.

Buddy was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God.

He attended of Ramsey High School and received his GED in the Navy. He was a proud Veteran and was honorably discharge from the Navy, serving from March 19, 1957 to March 13, 1963 on the USS Midway VC-41 while attaining the rank of Sear Man 3rd Class.

He was a former employee of Screw and Bolt, Modulas Corp. of Mt. Pleasant. He then relocated to Maryland and was employed as an air conditioner repairman for a number of years.

Buddy was an Honorary member of the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Dept. for a number of years.

Buddy is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the heart of those who knew and loved him,

His loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Connie Marie Curtis Fox, whom he married Nov. 2, 1990,

His Step Grandchildren:

Heather Kovacs and Husband of John of Greensburg

Holly Shipley and fiancé Cody Brougher of Hunker

And his Four Step Great Grandchildren

In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by:

His Son, James Shipley (Nov. 19, 2018)

In honoring Buddy’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements for Charles.
