Catherine A. Teaters, 74 of Ruffsdale, passed away peacefully, Monday evening, October 9, 2023 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 23, 1949. in Carnegie, Pa., the daughter of Florence McGervey Morris of West Newton and the late Albert Burdette Morris.
Catherine was a member of the former St. Timothy’s R. C. Church, Smithton.
She was a graduate of South Huntingdon High School Class of 1967. Catherine was employed by Sheetz for over 20 years in Sales. Previously, she was employed by the former Twin Coaches and Big Boy in Greensburg, as a manager.
Catherine enjoyed life to the fullest, even calling herself the “Adrenaline Junkie”. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, crafts, and shopping where she always got the best deal with her coupons!
She was an avid Steelers Fan for many years. She loved all animals, especially her dogs.
Catherine is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her,
In addition to her mother, Florence McGervey, of West Newton, Catherine is survived by her husband of 54 years, James R. Teaters, Sr., of Ruffsdale, whom she married February 14, 1969.
