Catherine M. (Smail) Opalinski

Catherine M. Opalinski, 92 formerly of Scottdale passed away peacefully, Friday, November 26, 2021 at Brookdale Senior Living of Latrobe.

She was born November 11, 1929 in Hecla, the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary C. Komar Smail.

Catherine was a longtime and faithful member of the Partner Parish of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Everson.

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister to her family.

Catherine is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her,

Her Husband, Louis M. Opalinski (Nov. 4, 2015)

Her Sister: Dorothy Smail

Brothers: Paul, Thomas and Andrew Smail

Relatives and Friends of Catherine are cordially invited Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 3PM – 7PM to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683

Parting Prayers will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 10:30AM in the Funeral Home, to be followed by her Funeral Mass at 11AM that will be in the Partner Parish of St. Joseph R.C. Church, with Rev. Elmer Alforque, as Celebrant.

Committal Services and Interment will follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Everson, next to her late Husband Louis.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Brookdale Senior Living and Excela Health Hospice for the love and compassion that was shown to their mother.
