Brian P. Hyde” Tank”, 49, of Scottdale, formerly of Somerset, died tragically and unexpectedly Saturday Morning, March 12, 2022.
He was born July 28,1972 in Mt. Pleasant. He is the son of James Kenneth Hyde of Alverton and the late Mary Jane Grimm Hyde, who died December 28, 2020.
Brian was a Graduate of Southmoreland High School class of 1990. He then Graduated from Thiel College, with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing. He was employed by The Department of Corrections as a Correctional Health Care Administrator for over 25 years.
In addition to his career at SCI Somerset, he was associated with multiple athletic organizations. He was the former President of the Southmoreland Football Parents Association, Former head baseball coach of Southmoreland, and the Former President of the Bullskin Township Little league. He most recently was the Throws Coach for Somerset High School, Track & Field program.
Brian dedicated his coaching efforts to his three sons which produced multiple State & Regional Championships.
Brian was an amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
He enjoyed spending time with his three grandchildren, whom he loved more than anything.

Brian was predeceased in death by his devoted and loving Wife of 25 years, Lori A. Cernuto Hyde who passed December 11, 2020

Family and friends are cordially invited to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc., 417 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Friday from 3PM – 7PM with reception to follow at the Polish American Club in Everson, PA.
