Annette J. Lucia McGuinness, 78 of Scottdale, passed away peacefully, Sunday afternoon, April 11, 2021 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, while being comforted by her loving family.
She was born February 8, 1943 in Scottdale, the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Costabile Lucia.
Netta was a longtime and faithful member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale.
She was a graduate of Scottdale Joint High School Class of 1961. Netta thoroughly enjoyed bingo and cooking Fish at the Scottdale Firemen’s’ Club during the Lenten season.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her immediate family and keeping her family traditions and recipes alive.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Westinghouse as a Lab Technician.
She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister to her family.
Netta is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her,
Her Loving and Devoted Husband, of 58 years, Robert W. McGuinness, whom she married February 9, 1963,

Annette’s family cordially invite Family and Friends Wednesday from 4PM – 8PM in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale.
Additional visitation will be held Thursday from 11:30AM – 1:30PM in the Funeral Home, at which time Prayers of Transfer will be held, and will be followed by her Funeral Mass at 2 PM Thursday in the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale with her Pastor, Rev. Elmer Alforque as Celebrant.
Committal Services and Interment will follow in St. John Parish Cemetery, Scottdale.
