Aileen Louise Solomon Cochran, 88,of Scottdale, died Thursday evening, January 18, 2018 in the comfort of her home, while in the presence of her loving family.
She was born in Scottdale, May 10, 1929 the daughter of the late Howard O. Sr. and Evelyn Lucille Friedline Solomon.
Aileen was a lifetime and active member of Calvin United Presbyterian Church, Scottdale, where she served as a former deacon and a former Sunday School Teacher.
She was a Graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School, Class of 1947. Louise loved everything about the outdoors and anything that included fishing, bicycling, walking, gardening, flowers and bird watching. In the winter months, Aileen enjoyed reading her novels.
Aileen was a loving mother, grandmother and sister to her family, whom she loved dearly.
Aileen is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her;

Aileen’s family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Sunday from 12PM – 3PM & 6PM – 8PM and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, the hour of her Funeral Service, with her Son- In- Law, Pastor Lee Griffith, officiating.
Committal Services and Interment will follow in Donegal Cemetery, next to her late Husband, James.
In Lieu of flowers, Aileen’s family suggests that memorials be directed to the Christian Family and Children’s Center, Dr. D. Merle Skinner, Executive Director, 2166 Indian Head Road Champion, Pa. 15622, in her memory.
