Richard Carnes Obituary

Richard W. Carnes, 65 of Park Ave. Scottdale, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, December 3, 2018 at his home.

He was born March 30, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Eugene and Rita Hood Carnes.

He attended Southmoreland High School. Prior to his disability, he was employed by Waste Management as a truck driver. He was a member of the Legion Post and the Moose Club both of Scottdale and the Bridgeport Sportsman’s Club.

Rich is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

His loving Daughters:

Tonia Askey Carnes Baker and husband Henry of Fayette City

Britanny Carnes of Scottdale

His Four Grandchildren:

Jamie, Bryan and Aaron Baker and Clyde King

And his 8 Great Grandchildren

His Four Siblings:

Peggy Uhrinek and husband Robert of Scottdale

Elaine Swank of Scottdale

Donald Carnes of Scottdale

Carol Carnes of New Stanton

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by:

His Sister: Eileen Hixson (1995)

Family and friends are cordially invited to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Friday from 2 – 4PM & 6 – 7:30PM at which time his Funeral Service will begin with Pastor David Strickler, Officiating.

The Funeral Home doors will be closed between hours.
