Linda Lee (Sabat) Soforic

Linda Lee Sabat Soforic, 65 of Scottdale, peacefully passed away Sunday afternoon, May 27, 2018, in the comfort of her home, surrounded in love of family and friends

She was born in Sewickley, October 18, 1952 a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Lozen Sabat and was a graduate of Coraopolis High School, Class of 1969.

Linda was a member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R. C. Church, Scottdale.

Prior to her illness, Linda was employed by Penn West Industrial Equipment, Mt. Pleasant, as a Receptionist for six years

Linda loved her family and enjoyed spending quality time with her husband, her Son’s and especially her Grandchildren, who were near and dear to her heart.

Her devoted Husband of six years, Steven Charles Soforic, whom she married, January 20, 2012

Her loving Sons and Daughters-In-Law:

Marc Joseph Binford and wife Maria of Wallkill, NY

Todd Christopher Binford and wife Ashley of Pittsburgh

Her four adoring Grandchildren:

Tyler Michael, Emma Lee, Maeley Aulene and Mazey Jane Binford.

She is also survived by her siblings:

Michael Sabat of Connellsville

Joseph Sabat and wife Pamela (Soforic) of Scottdale

Her Brother and Sister-In-Laws:

Mary Beth Meader and husband Ernie of Acme

Amos Soforic and wife Theresa

And Pam Soforic and husband Joseph all of Scottdale

Also a number of Nieces and Nephews

And friends Michael Binford and wife Ginny of Cranberry Twp.

Linda’s family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc., 417 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Wednesday from 1 – 4 and 6 -8 PM, where Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale, with Rev. Andrew M. Kawecki,  as Celebrant.

A Committal Service and Interment will follow in St. John Parish Cemetery

A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 PM Wednesday in the Funeral Home
