Julia Ann (Sikon) Stanek

Julia Ann Sikon Stanek, 99 ½, of Everson, passed away peacefully and quietly, in her families embrace, early Monday morning, July 16, 2018 in the comfort of her home.

She was born January 17, 1919 in Everson the daughter of the late Martin and Catherine Kadron Sikon.

Julia was a lifelong devoted and active member of the Partner Parish of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Everson, where she was an member of the Church Choir, past vice president of the ladies Guild and a member of the St. Joseph’s Society.

Julia’s beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her family and will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Patricia Mehallick and husband Michael of Everson

Charles J. Stanek and wife Nancy of Everson

Robert V. Stanek of Washington, D.C.

Her 7 loving Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren

Her caring Sister:

Mary Glovola of Scottdale

And her Sister-In-Law: Martha Sikon of Scottdale

And a number of Nieces and Nephews

In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by:

Her Husband, Charles J. Stanek (May 14, 1988)

Grandson: Robert Brownfield (Jan. 2016)

Siblings: Anna Konzal, John Sikon, Josephine Sikon, Valerie Glovola, Leo and Val Sikon.

Julia’s family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale Wednesday from 2 – 4PM & 6 – 8PM., where Parting Prayers will be offered Thursday at 10:30AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 11AM in the Partner Parish of St. Joseph R.C. Church with her nephew, Rev. Michael Sikon, as Celebrant.

Committal Services and Interment will follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Everson

Members of St. Joseph’s Parish will recite the Rosary Wednesday at 1:45 PM

A Parish Wake service will also be held Wednesday at 7:45 PM, both in the Funeral Home.
