Joseph P. Ostrosky, Sr, 90 of Graff Street, Everson died Friday afternoon July 26, 2002 in Frick Hospital, Mt Pleasant. He was born October 14, 1911 in Alverton a son of the late Walter and Rose Kensick Ostrowski. Joseph was a longtime resident of the community of Everson and a faithful member of St. Joseph RC Church, Everson. He was a retired foundry worker with the former Hempfield Foundry, South Greensburg retiring in 1976 after 36 years of service. Joseph was also a charter member of the Everson Civic Association and a life member of the Everson Polish American Club. Joseph leaves to cherish his memories, his two loving and devoted sons and their families: Joseph "Sonny" Ostrosky, Jr. and his wife June Hrabak of Scottdale Thomas Ostrowski and his wife Joan Hrabak of Everson His Four Grandchildren: Jennifer Bashioum and her husband Michael of Ruffsdale Jacqueline Nicholson and her husband William of Scottdale Thomas and Michael Ostrowski both of Pittsburgh And his Two Great Grandchildren: Megan and Ian Nicholson And a number of nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by: His Wife: Anna Frances Martinosky Ostrosky who died February 7, 1977 Three Brothers: Walter Ostrowski who died February 25, 1977 Stanley Ostrowski Benjamin Ostrowski who died in April 16, 1968 Four Sisters: Josephine Ostrowski who died in 1931 Pearl E. Ostrowski who died May 24, 1977 Mary Ostrowski who died February 4, 1989 Viola C. Boretsky who died May 20, 1999 Joseph's family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Saturday form 7 to 9 PM and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. His Blessing service will be held Monday at 9:30 AM in the Funeral Home followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St Joseph RC Church, Everson. Committal service and interment will follow in St Joseph RC Parish Cemetery, Everson. A Parish Wake service will be held in the Funeral Home.
