James Paul McCloy, 56 of New Alexandria and previously of Greensburg, died unexpectedly, Thursday morning, February 8, 2018 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.
He was born September 16, 1961 in Mt. Pleasant the son of the late James and Blanche White McCloy.
Jim attended Southmoreland School District and was presently employed by Goodwill Industries, Pittsburgh, as a Logistics Supervisor for over 20 years.
He enjoyed riding his Vulcan motorcycle during the summer. Jim also enjoyed spending quality time with his family and Grandchildren. He also enjoyed working on his 1972 Cutless Supreme.
Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. Jim and his wife, Carmel, were all about their family. Their lives were devoted to loving and caring for their children and grandchildren.
Jim is gone from our lives but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, his loving wife of 29 years, Carmel Lynn Layton McCloy, whom he married May 27, 1989.

Jim’s family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Sunday from 2 – 4PM & 6 – 8PM.
His Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 12, 2018, at 10AM in the Funeral Home, with Rev. Neil Stevens, officiating, Pastor of New Hope Alliance Church, Scottdale.
Committal Services and Entombment will follow in Middle Churches Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant
